Emily Ward

"Hi, I'm Emily. I come from a family of artists and I live and paint in the north east of England.

Following my breast cancer diagnosis in 2010, I returned to painting to help me focus on my recovery. I had previously enjoyed working in a Head of Art role empowering and teaching art to disadvantaged groups.

It was a long recovery and, with three little children, I rediscovered my passion for painting which helped overturn my fears and anxieties and inspired me to create my business, Emily Ward Art.

Over the last few years, and with the help of the family ‘firm’ - my three ( much bigger) kids, I have expanded  Emily Ward Art nationally. I have steadily developed and increased my business. My art portfolio continues to expand, from painting local scenes across the North East to now painting landmarks throughout the United Kingdom.

My vision is to share my vast experience and love of art and to provide affordable, accessible art that's suited to most price brackets and tastes.

I have always enjoyed painting local scenes and famous landmarks alongside my passion for floral and woodland scenes. My products are usually produced from original paintings that I have lovingly painted. Products include greeting cards, framed hand-finished ceramic tiles, signed and numbered limited edition prints, tiles with easels, framed prints, postcards and  bookmarks.

I have spent a lot of time supporting charities across the North East and nationwide. This I feel very passionate about, I think this is probably due to my past experiences. The charities that I have supported include, Breast Assessment Unit RVI Newcastle, Positively Pink Charity North Tyneside, Maggies Freeman Hospital, Marie Curie, Cancer Research, Tiny Lives Trust, Beach Access North East, Changing Lives and many more.
